Since God is everything, does that mean that God is evil, God is wicked, and God is Satan as well?
My answer to this question will surely be very difficult to digest for most people. Yes, God can be wicked. God can be evil. God can be Satan because, again, God is everything. Don’t get me wrong. I know some people who are reading this book will call this a heresy. Yet, let me explain why this is so.
We generally accept that in nature, there exists what we call as duality of things. We can not distinguish a male if a female does not exist. We can not differentiate pain, if we haven’t experienced pleasure. There is no such thing as evil if there is no good. Although, in the orient, the Yin symbolizes the passive female principle of the universe, the Yang as the active male principle of the universe, the Yin and the Yang can also signify the balance between two opposite entities. These two entities now form the whole universe which is God. Thus, good is part of God and ‘evil’ is still part of God.
This is now where the trinity concept helps us understand about God. If you have observed, duality is only a part of the whole picture. When two things combine, they form another entity which is completely different from the other two contributing units. An example of which is the union of the sperm and the egg cell which forms the embryo; the hydrogen combines with oxygen to produce water; the yin and the yang combined to form EVERYTHING.
However, since we traditionally believe God as good, we therefore can not accept that He is capable of doing dreadful undertakings. Hence, we created Satan to be the complete opposite of God. An entity of pure evil capable of destruction, inflicting pain and suffering to those whom we think deserves. God, therefore we conclude, is goodness personified while Satan is evil incarnate. Nevertheless, the personification of Satan only exists in the mind. Our society molds us to believe that Satan exists in reality in order for us to differentiate God from the devil.
